1998 Kangoo 1.9D Starter motor

Hi all My van starter motor will not work !!!

So this morning I got in the van to go pick a parcel up, started fine drove 2 mile to royal mail depo. Was in and out in 10 mins come back to find it would not turn over i had to bump it on my self to get it going.

had a look at connection to starter all seem fine.

I can't hear solenoid clicking when i turn the key. just cuts power of to radio ect. Could the starter itself just be knackered, sometime it used to just spin motor with out turning engine.

Any help would be Great.

If the starter motor is kicking un but the starter doesn't turn then it does sound very much like some aspect of the start motor is knackered but check its wiring and the engine earth strap first.

Give the starter a good hard knock on the side with a hammer, if it works then, the brushes are stuck or getting too short.
