Sounds like you have some bulbs blown.
There is more than one bulb for the radio display so during the daylight this probably seems ok, when the sidelights are switched on these bulbs "dim" so as not to be too bright, if one or more bulbs has blown it will be too dim to see at night. Same probably applies to rev counter/speedo as there are several bulbs which provide the lighting.
Alternatively, is there a variable brightness control switch/wheel for the dashboard lighting? - if so is it turned up enough to allow sufficient nightime lighting, or this may have failed and be in the "dim " position permanantly.
