I'm not sure if the warranty is exclusive to the dealer or not but here's how I got it.
I part exchanged an S type Jaguar ( couldn't afford the running cost ), for a 1.8 Laguna privilege at a local Reg Vardy, Nissan/ Renault dealership and part of the deal was a 24 month warranty ( obviously with certain limitations), and a 24 month RAC breakdown assistance.
Ah, hold on, I've just got to the last page and discovered the following statement.

Autoprotect is a trading division of Reg Vardy PLC, responsible for warranty administration for the Reg Vardy group of companies.

Looks like it is very much an "in house" warranty, supplied as part of the purchase price of a Reg Vardy used car. Unlikely to be available as a "stand alone" after market purchase. Sorry .

Question Slow Electric windows

Hope you could help me out with a problem. I drive a 2001 Laguna II and , about 9 months ago had problems with the battery losing charge, some days it was fine next day i had to jump start the car (this went on for approx 2-3 months). Brought new battery but never got round to fitting it as problem cured itself. One thing i have noticed since then is that the electric windows take a long time to go up and down (otherwise work fine). Could be the battery again but the car starts ok (thought that dodgy battery=no start??)

Any thoughts or tough, live with it!!!
