Megane Centre Light..

I have a Renault Megane Cabriolet, 1997 model and the passenger light that usually comes on and off when you open and close the car doors doesn't work and I can hear the bulb rolling around in there...

Does anyone know how to get the casing off so that I can change the bulb?

Sorry that this sounds like a trivial question but it is doing my brain in..!!

Cheers.. Paul

The whole roof console which houses the interior light unit should just unclip from the roof panel. You may need to use some leverage as they can be tight. In my experience as a renault technican what usually makes the bulb come loose is the terminals which hold the bulb in place break away from the plastic part of the light. In some cases a small repair can be carried out, but most often a new light unit is required which only comes as a whole roof console and is hideously expensive as it also houses the reciever for the central locking remote.hope this helps.
