Laguna 96 1.8RT Rear Heated Screen Not Working

Not only I have I no heat in my car - I need to flush the system again - The heated rear window has decided to pack up.

The light comes on, on the switch on the dashboard, the mirrors demist, but the back screen remains covered in ice.

Can anyone tell me what to do to remedy this.

in the luggage compartment on the passenger side, remove the cover on the quarter panel (or just lower it enough) and you'kl see a white multi-connector. This normally is the culprit. You will have to find the heater wire (it's one of the thicker ones) and bypass the connecter and connect it straight with the wire on the other side of the connector. I had to bypass the wires for the rear screen heater on mine too. If you doa search, I did a sort of diagram for this too
