CD player fitting.

I put this on the Clio forum but didn't get much of a response so I'll ask on here instead seems it probably should've been on here.

I've recently aquired a CD player for my 1999 Renault Clio, the problem is the CD player is from a 2000+ Clio and looks like this -

After looking to put it in my Clio I've found that only two of the cables in my car fit, the other one is a thin conncector and looks something like this only abit smaller -

Which as you can see won't fit in to the Clio I have.
I was wondering if anyone knows of any adapters I can buy which will allow me to fit this unit straight in to my Clio and where I could purchase them from?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Micp

Done the same swap in our scenic a few months back.i did not find an adapter.I got the yellow (C1) connector from a later model (2000 or later) at the breakers.

See link for pinout on your cd player (tuner list).

TLCDCEmu - Hardware

The colours are the same just join red to red etc. solder and tape.

Hope this helps.

Oh great, thanks alot for that.
So what does the C3 actually do in the car?

I'm guessing C1 is for the stalk controls?

Me again

C3 is used if you have a cd changer fitted.

C1 does both the display and remote.
