Megane dial probs

This sounds like a voltage drop or rise problem - most cars have a voltage regulator suppling current to the fuel and temperature circuit -sounds like this has gone faulty - unfortunately I don't know where it located - some cars have it fitted to the back of the display panel that house the guages and speedometer - it could mean a trip to an auto electrician - anyone out there have any info that may help. Lets know what happens!
