Thumbs up Bulbs for main lights

Hi guys,

Just wondering if someone could help. My main light on the drivers side of my renault clio Billabong 1.2 16V (2003) went the other day. I went to Halfords and bought a new bulb, I am having an extremley hard time getting the bulb off. It just wont come off, just wondering if anyone had the same problem before?

Hi Brookbab - is it you can't get the bulb out of the lamp or is it off the connector? The bulbs have a tendency to get a firm hold in the connector and it just takes patience, a drop of easing fluid (like WD40) and a few wiggles from side to side. If tha doesn't work try inserting a slim screwdriver or something similar betwen the lightbulb and the connector and gently prise them apart. Take care as the bulb can be easily broken and I suggest you wear protective gloves. Also remember not to touch the glass of the new bulb with your bare hands otherwise it will burn out very quickly. Let us know how you get on.
