Be careful though. Disconnecting the alarm will probably invalidate the insurance. Unless of course you inform your insurers that the car is no longer alarmed. They will then increase your premium slightly accordingly.
The Laguna is fitted with a Thatcham Cat 1 alarm - should anyone break into/steal the car the insurers are in their rights to void the claim as the alarm isn't on. I know the chances of that are pretty slim, but worth bearing in mind, as the immobilser still needs to be overcome to drive the car away by the thief.
