No Sat nav all works fine, its just the radio and CD player, it beeps every 3 seconds, and swithes of after 2 minutes, the book tells me thats correct until I enter the code.
I had a new battery about a year ago and as soon as I turned the radio on the 4 zeros come up on the sat nav screen and I entered the code, all worked great, but now after disconnecting the battey, and reconnecting it, I do not get the 4 zeros, so I cannot enter the code, seems very strange.

You may need to re-initialise the Sat Nav so that the display of the radio information works.

1. Switch off the ignition
2. Wait until the Sat Nav shuts down (1 minute or so)
3. Switch the radio on
4. Switch on the ignition and wait about 20 seconds
5. Press the M and C keys together
6. Check the vehicle number (should be 0002 or 0007). If it show 0012 this indicates the radio is not detected.
7. Exit using the rotary switch
8. Switch off the ignition.

If this initialisation is done without the radio switched on then the Sat Nav display will never show the radio information.

Hi Kriswain all i did was remove the ariel from the rear of the c.d reader you can do this by just feeling under the foot well passenger side up under to find the reader unit, carfully pull out the ariel cable insert the new cable then you can track the cable along inside the motor tucked mine just under the plastic trim that hols carpet in place took it right to the rear of the car slighly prised down the roof lining placed the unit on the palm of my hand and put it up between the lining and the steel roof magnet up hill and it stuck to roof just behind the original ariel, you cant see it because its between the lining and the roof the trim just popped back into place,i didn't need to initialise system either..any probs reply back....

Hi Ian
Thats great never had the radio station showing before, but it still has not solved the problem, as the radio is still bleeping every 3 seconds, indicating that I need to enter the code, but still cannot get the 4 zeros to appear on the screen, for me to put the code in.
Maybe I need to disconnect the battery for a while, and try again, what do you think, any info would be appreciated.

Do be careful disconnecting and reconnecting the battery - leave a couple minutes before disconnecting and reconnect with the sidelights on.

Other than that I'm a bit mistified

Its not something I've come across before but I'd agree to try everything again just to be sure. There is a way to enter the code from the stalk if all else fails though it would take me a while to find the link ...

Here we go:
Laguna - Sat Nav blank screen only after battery out!

That's what I had to do when my screen died and it worked

Thanks for the posting, Have tried diconnecting the battery again, but no joy, everything works, except the facility to enter the code, will have to suffer the thing bleeping at me every 3 seconds.
Will try the stalk method, if I can understand it.
