LagunaII Dashboard Problems

O.K. I should have known it was too good to be true.

Dash has gone the other way now.....Lit up like a christmas tree.....Sometimes removing and re-inserting the fuse helps, more often than not it doesn't.....Looks like its terminal !!!

Only option Renault have given me is to replace the complete clocks assembly, which is due to happen on Friday.

I've spoke to Renault customer service and they told me to get the dealer to put in an claim, but gave no guarantee whether they will cover it or not. Will let you know how I get on.

Thereafter my next step is to sell the car, as I've had it with silly, niggly problems that cost a small fortune. Shame really as I really like the car, but enough is enough.

Thanks for the welcome. Don't think the previous owner would have been a member as it was just a mummy's taxi. Took me ages to clean out all the wee sweeties from down the sides and under the seats.

Sorry to hear about your problem LagunaII.

Have to admit that I like my car too, its really nice to drive but have noticed a few wee niggly things with the electrics. The tyre pressure gauges flashing away after the keyfob is in the dash is a popular one (fortunately fixed by removing the keyfob and reinserting). Haven't had to spend money on it other than a couple of tyres yet. Hope it stays that way.

Laguna Dashboard

I recently bought a second hand laguana II 1.6 authentic with 54k miles on the clock

Everything was fine except the drivers window wouldnt shut automatically when the button was lifted all the way.

It would always stall half way up. and I have to close the window bit by bit. I took it to the garage and they put in some silicone and now it seems fine.

However when I got the car back, whilst driving at night the speedo and rev counter together with the fuel & temp gauge froze in place.

Even after I turned of the lights and stopped the engine and removed the key card, the dashboard lights was still on

The dimmer switch didn't seem to work either.

So I pulled out the fuse for the instrument panel and put it backed,.. now it seems fine.

The only downside was that I did this at night, and I tried to shut the driver's door with the fuse box cover panel still opened! and It sorta squashed and cracked the fuse box plastic cover panel!

The car is in a very good condition, anyone know how I can replace this? I dont want any moisture or water to get in

Many Thanks
