Renault scenic 1.9dt immobiliser

I have a 1998 1.9dt scenic I think Iíve got an immobiliser problem ive had the car for 5 years now and have had the keys reprogrammed twice and 12 months ago had to buy a new key but I donít think this is a key problem .
The immobiliser light came on when I was driving and the engine cut out so I reset the immobiliser with the key worked fine went 40 miles light came on again engine cuts out again tried to reset it light just stayed on 20 mins later it starts drove 500yds light comes on again it will run for about 5 mins then the immobiliser light comes on ive checked all fuses and earths taken battery terminal of over night no joy any help would be appreciated

Very strange - I thought that the car only checked the immobiliser to start - once the engine is running, it shouldn't cut out (the immobiliser function is detected when you press the remote key to unlock the car) so I would suggest that there is definitely a fault with the immobiliser bits in the car, and it has nothing to do with the keys themselves

Did you get it sorted, I bought a scenic which had had the same problem and they'd by-passed the immobiliser.
Currently in waynedl's garage:
Renault Safrane 3.0i V6
