In my old Lag 1 there was four holes, two at each end of the player, you need to poke some wire that just goes in these holes then jiggle the player a bit until it comes free.
I used to use a 2.5mm welding electrode that I bent into a U shape, from what I've heard on here others have used a wire coat hanger. Its been a while back now, but I'm pretty sure its easier if you free one end at a time.
