clear faults?????? please help?????

Hi guys this is my first post.

I have a renault Laguna 1.9 dci and i have to say i love it.

I have just had a fueling problem which i fixed my self however the nice lady still keeps telling me i have a problem and to stop the engine.

I no there is no longer a prob as it drives perfectly again now

Please please tell me how to clear this code it is v annoying..

Hi Adam - As a fault has been registered in the system and you have cured it the compuetr will need to be told it has been fixed - this is normally done by putting it on a diagnostic machine either by Renault or a garage that has similar equipment. You could try disconnecting the battery for a half-hour or so and see if resets itself - but remember you will lose your radio code during this process. As a matter of interest what was the fueliing problem. Keep us posted.

P.S. You could take the nice lady out for dinner and see if that shuts her up

the fault was a slight leak in the fuel pipe just below the hand pump was just letting air into the system.

thanks very much for your responses i guess i need to take it to a local garage with a diagnostic machine I know him so he will do it free but just wanted to finish the prob my self
