i bought the blank card on ebay ..its never been used as far as i know and the emegency key in it has not been touched

Anyone with the Clip computer should be able to program in the blank card. An independent Renault specialist would probably be your best bet for getting this done at a lower price than the dealer.

Hi Scotslad - I think if you check with renault you will find each keycard is unique and the car can be programmed to suit up to four cards - as yet I have never heard of anyone apart from renault being able to do this but if I'm wrong no doubt someone will soon say otherwise. Personally I would be very reluctant about buying secure keys and cards from someone I didn't know or trust - because if my view is correct the key you purchased opens a car somewhere.
