rev counter wiring

i have a renault 5 campus and im in the stages of modifing it and i would like to fit a rev counter where do i wire this up to cheers guys
Currently in r5dan's garage:
renault 5 1.4 campus

I've got a 90 Prima and was going to do the same thing - only to find there are no rev counters available to suit an electronic module - only a coil . Not sure what system your car has.
Renault dealer said they could fit a whole display from a different model that had a rev counter as std - but this would cost about 400.......
Currently in Mark Leigh's garage:
Renault 5 Prima auto (1990) & Renault Clio RT 1.4 auto (1995)
