Cruise Control - Centre Console

Hi - ever done this?

I was trying to set my cruise control - it would not put a speed when I pressed the + button on the steering wheel.

Anyway the other day - I had removed (unclipped) the top half of the centre console and then unscrewed the lower part (at the front). I had done this to remove an old hands free phone bracket that I did'nt want in the car. Was very careful with the connections and wires to various bits on the console e.g. sat nav, key entry etc.

Any way was about to check all the conections again when I could only intermittently get the cruise to set - over 30mph but not under.

Took the car out for another spin and it was at that point I realised I had at times been lightly resting my foot on the clutch which was not allowing the speed to be set.

Daft heh - looking for problems that don't exist - anyway glad I did,nt take the console apart again.

Oh, bad habit that, resting your foot on the clutch .....I do it as well though and tell myself off when I realise I am doing it
