Clio imobiliser Problems AGAIN!!!

Hi all,

I have posted before on problems with my Clio imobiliser. The key broke and I couldn't de-activate the imobiliser.

Well that was sorted by obtaining the 4 digit pin code from Renault and entering this everytime I need to start the car..

Well moving on now when I try to enter the code the flashes on the central locking button don't slow down so I can't enter the code. Having spoke to one of the specialist in bridging renault imobilisers he has told me that if you
use the code to many times the imobiliser can lock out rendering it useless. He can repair it but the cost is going to be more than the normal 100.

Does any know if I got an Imobiliser/key/and remote sensor off the same scrap car I could just put them on to my car and the system would work? Or is there some other hidden component to stop me doing this?

what year / model is your Clio, have you read the posts in the Clio FAQ?

Its a 1998 clio. Yeah I have read the FAQ's don't seem to apply to my case.

I have spoken to another guy that does the bridging he says it may still be possible to do.

He also said in order to swap everything from another car you would need the engine ECU too,
