computer ..miles to go?

With the trip computer and the reading it gives for how many miles you have to go with the petrol in the tank, does any one know if this is a pretty accurate reading before it goes blank?I suppose the only way to find out would be to break down when you run out of petrol

Its amazing what goes through your mind when stuck in a traffic jam

I've never been brave/foolish enough to try - but on my computer it gives how many gallons have been consumed - and that's pretty accurate when filling up.

I think it 'blanks' the mileage so it indemnifies Renault from any responsibility due to running out of fuel arising from an inaccuracy - plus, there is no benefit to running on what lurks at the bottom of the tank - small amounts on water, sediment, etc - just waiting to choke the filter and cause damage to the cylinder bores. Plus of course, if its a diesel you run - removing air locks from the fuel system afterwards.

There are more enjoyable ways to spend the day (even in a traffic jam) - flirt with someone in the next car.

This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.

Me neither always keep it above 150 miles to go, got stuck once behind a major road block in a snowstorm many years ago it was touch and go whether to freeze to death or save fuel in case I run out.

The readout on my Lag I goes blank after 65 miles left but it takes a while for the nice genleman living in the computer to give me a warning, this has only happened twice but it was a nail bighting 23 miles home from work.
