Immobiliser cures?.

Hi all new poster here. Dont have a Renault, but have been using my spare time creating ways to overcome immobiliser problems on Fiat, and those problems are cracked now.
Renault appears to have similar faults and I intend to look into them. So the question is what is the best model to look at first bearing in mind I need to buy a ecu /immo/key system and cicuits etc to get me going.

Hi Barry, while I feel that you have the best intentions at heart I feel I need to add a general warning to the thread regarding the potential for aiding car crime. I hope you understand my concerns and that I mean no disservice to you by this.

I may be a bit overcautious here but would recomend care if posting a reply as this is a public forum and information can be viewed (and used) by browsers for potentially illegal activities.

Always keep you reg no, and VIN number secure and never post them to the net. This helps prevent cloning etc.

Chris M- I take your point of concern, but it is just not possible to give a reply "cut this wire here" etc with electronic immobilisers, in general it needs dedicated equipment to analyse re-code etc. This approach is not attractive to a thief looking for an 8 year old Renault (newer ones are even harder to crack). Thanks for your interest.
