Interior Lighting

Trivial question I know but here goes. According to the spec for our car, because it has rear electric windows there should be courtesy lights under the front seats. The front footwells light up.Having looked under the front seast I cannot see any bulbs so assume our car has not got this feature. It doesn't bother me and I won't lose any sleep over it, but have any of you got these under seat courtesy lights ??

Also does anyone know what the 2 red leds in the roof light are meant to do? I have noticed that in the dark they appear to shine down onto the top of the gear knob - really useful feature that? What a waste of space, almost as pointless as the dimmer control wheel for the main interior light.

Is it not just the "arm" indicator for the alarm? Nearly all cars seem to have a pointless red LED somewhere?

Slightly off topic...

Just been looking at the specs regarding the footwell lights (couldn't) find anything, and stumbled across the Laguna Sport Tourer GT 205 Turbo

Nobody mentioned this to me! Nobody told me that Renault did a nice, quick estate! Why did nobody tell me? Why did you Renault nuts not mention it...

Sorry - back on track! Seriously though, I have to accept the fact that's it's all over for MGR Rover (ahem...) and look for an alternative to the ZT-T in two years time. I had no idea that Renault made an estate that did 0-60 in (OG - are you listening?)

How long has this been out for? It must be the fastest Renault estate in a decade

Comment please ... thank you ... sorry for hijacking the thread ... ... ...

Red LEDs to illuminate the gear knob is apparently the latest craze amongst the car interior designers.
