Electrics warning light

I'm a new member, just bought a couple of weeks ago a second-hand Megane diesel (1.9 dci from 2001) and really pleased, especially with fuel economy.

Have been browsing the forum, some really interesting stuff.

However, just today I've had a warning light come up on the dashboard, the one warning of an electrical error. I was doing 65mph on the motorway at the time, and had complete loss of power for around 10 seconds at the same time.

I've just been to the garage where I bought it, and they've read two error codes from the ECU , 1815 (clutch) and 1829 (boost pressure).

They're taking the car in again in a couple of days to have a proper look, I was just wondering if anyone had any idea what may have caused this? I have just had the cambelt changed, might this have somehow affected it?

Hi there, the cambelt change should not be the villain in this case, the warning lights you mention normally refer to a coil or injector problem,

Welcome to the forum. Could be the Famous EGR problem, if (partially) blocked it may lead to a restriction in inlet and therefore boost pressure.
