Easily done. I'd got as far as rummaging for the breakdown number before I twigged. I'd moved the gear stick to clean around it properly. How I laughed

I've done similar in my Clio. My mum had put the steering lock on after driving it back home, I came home from work, went to take my Boss out and she wouldn't start. Came close to calling the garage I bought it from before my Dad discovered the steering lock. I now always remember to release it as I turn the ignition.

Yep! Been there done that!!

I always end up trying to find the key to turn the engine off!! Does'nt help driving other vehicles with normal keys during the day
