As you have known normally clio MK1 PH3 1149cc does not come with rev counter.
I had source a 1.8 dials and of course, the rev counter not works .(dial.jpg)
Had searched some files of the car, I think
does not have rev output, so even the connection is there (PIN8 of 13PIN connector), no outputs.
It will be a easy work if you knows microprocessor programming, so I made a digital rev counter which can measure either the voltages or the rev count.(rev1.jpg, rev2.jpg)
This digital rev counter will replace the original
temp digi LED. (top of the dials)
But I still want the needle rev counter works.
After some experiment this morning, I obtain some datas of the needle revcounter.
The counter works at 11V-16V(haven't try higher), and the input signal should be a 12V Pulse. The Pulse width does not affect the reading.
The rev counter had a diveder by 2. that means there should be 2 pulses if the crank has a 360 degree turn.
We know the
is a "waste spark"
PIN 2 will control spark plug 1 and spark plug 4, while PIN 3 control 2 and 3. Thus at PIN 2 or 3, there are 2 pulses for one turn of crane.
So, the next step is to obtain the rev data from the primary side of the HV
, either pin2 or pin3.
Hope some suggestion about wirings. (From bonnet to the dials.)
