Angry Headlight fault not bulb

I had my 3 year old modus in for its MOT today and the nearside dimmer bulb is not working. The mechanic changed the bulb, but to no avail. Next was to check all the fuses and the lights one is in the engine compartment (clever eh) and no mention in the book as to which fuse is which. I had it booked into a main dealer this afternoon until i saw the ammounts being charged for changing a bulbon these forums. I now have a local auto electrician coming to look at it in the morning, he thinks it may be a wiring fault and he may have to take a lead from the other light. Hope it saves me some money as the main dealer charges are just extortionate!!!

Do you mean the dipped bulb, it's not xenon, is it?

A problem well stated is a problem half solved !

Modus dip beam problems

I've got a similar problem on a 54 plate modus 1.5dci. LH dipped beam failed then two weeks later RH failed. I have changed bothe bulbs. Neither was faulty. I have checked all the fuses in the fuse box next to the battery. All ok. Is there another fuse box in the engine bay??

There are separate fuses for mainbeam and dipped lights in the engine compartment in my 04 Laguna and I suspect your Modus will be the same. Try looking directly behind the battery for a small rectangular box. Remove the lid and that should find the fuses.
