Quickest and eventully the cheepest option will be to find somone with the diagnostic kit to talk to the bsi/body system correctly, you can no longer measure voltages at the switches on these cars any more

The sunroof drain holes seem to be quite a popular place for water leaking problems, but I would also check that the plastic covers that cover the front suspension struts are in place and secure I had a big leak because the garage had not replaced one of these covers after I had work done. they are located under the bonnet to the back left & right sides.

for the leak check the front scuttle (air intake) in front of the windscreen. If blocked water can get into the heater intake causing your heater issue and leak from pollen filter (under glove box) into passenger footwell

For the electric problems, check the wiring into the drivers door where the hinges are,the wires can break causing your problem. If they seem OK,then you have to suspect the switch is at fault,on some Renault models it is possible to plug the passenger switch into the connections on the drivers switch,so this would be worth trying.

The heater could be either a motor fault(possibly over heated due to a blocked pollen filter),or a rheostat fault.I think there are some threads on finding and checking the rheostat on Scenics on the forum already,so if you do a search you should come up with some usefull info.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
