Question Error, error and more errors

1st post as a newbie so please be gentle.

I have a 53 plate Laguna 2.2dCi which I bought in Feb 2007 and from which I have had nothing but trouble.

Apart from having a few minor electrically problems solved and a 450 "multi function switch" fitted by Renault themselves I am now getting error after error displayed on the dash.

ABS error, ESP failure, puncture when no puncture, Fuel injection failure, outside temp readin 40 degrees c, and no interior lamps when door opens (although footwell lights do come on)

I have noticed that this only happens when I depress the brake pedal and the right turn indicator comes on the dash. When outside the vehicle and depressing the brake with the indicator on I see the typical "short" on indicator and brake (both flashing and dash ticker going fast)

Any ideas, I'm at my wits end.

Many thanks

Hi North - either a poor earth or fluctuating voltage could cause your probs - I suggest you get the rear light clusters checked for corrosion and/or poor earth.

Re the indicator problem, I'd go with madnoel above.

Surely if these problems arose after Renault fitted this switch you could take it back to them as they must have done something to cause the problems!

Worth a try
