my alarm keeps going off. i tried removing the dash and turning down the sensitivity but this has made no difference!!! the red light flashes three times, not 4 as is mentioned a few times in this forum. i have no idea what 3 flashes means, so if anyone can help i will be in your debt, metaphorically that is!

My older phase 3 espace 2.2dT (pics in my motah! ;)) has in the paperwork a key information thing.

"Alarm memory flashes LED after the alarm has been disarmed and the ignition key is inserted.

1 blink An attempt has been made to open the bonnet, doors, boot.

3 Blinks The volumetric sensors have detected an attempt to enter the vehicle

4 Blinks an attempt has been made to start the vehicle."

There is a bar above the rear 3rd row seats on mine which went faulty, Its currently disconnected. I think thats the one that listens. Try disconecting that and seeing if it keeps happening. Its a clip very much like a phone wall socket iirc, Very easy to get out.

Let us kow how you get on. Mine has the cobra systems alarm aparently according to this!

Where I used to work had a Espace 3.0 Derv, The latest one, Every lorry that went past set the alarm off on that!

I had the same problem and it was the sensor above the boot space as tiggerz has said i disconnected it for a while then plugged it back in after turning it right down and havent had a problem the other option is to hit the little button in the door shut (twice I think) then lock the car and the sensor is deactivated leaving the rest of the alarm as normal. But you would need to do this every time you leave the car

fixed the problem now. i took off the top of the dash, gave up turning down the sensitivity dial and just disconnected the sensor. the alarm and immobiliser still work but the alarm has never gone off due to traffic or coughing near it as it used to 3 times a day. put the ¤¤¤¤er in the bin thats what i say. still need to fix the temp sensor though. roll on summer.

I had a similar problem , alarm would set but beep at me for 30 seconds then alarm, noticed the boot courtesy light was on, turned out to be the boot window was open, i never use it but somebody other than me must have accidently opened it trying to get in to the boot. Easy fix:)
