scenic alarm/central locking problem

To all members:-Hope you all had a nice xmas and I`ll take this oportunity to wish everyone a prosperous new year.

T0 Gogslad/Sportstourer:- As promised an update on my central locking/hands free problem:-
I took my scenic to mr renault yesterday at 9am, as arranged(not easy as the roads were terrible and the air temp was -5c). At 3.30pm I was informed that the car was repaired and ready to be picked up.At the garage I asked what had they found and the said they had replaced the sensors on both front and rear passenger side doors and the sensor and the dutton on the drivers door. I`ve tested all the doors for correct operation and everything seems o/k. I can`t find any evidence that the door have been dismantled and why it took 6.5 hrs to repair is beyond me, but never mind.Once again thanks for your help and I hope that one day I will be able to help someone and put the balance straight.

Hi Guys - First time poster here, so go gently!

We bought a Renault Scenic II On Saturday, it's a 54 plate, 1.5dci Dynamique model, and it's a lovely car, apart from one thing!

The alarm seems to have a mind of it's own of late, and I just wanted to confirm something with the experts on here. On Sunday morning the alarm was being triggered outside my parents by passing traffic, on Sunday evening by heavy rain!

I've noticed since we bought the car, that when I press the 'lock; button on my keycard, there is a high pitched whine/whistle that lasts for approximately 1 minute (at a guess) Having read through some posts on here, does this suggest that the car thinks something is open? More than likely the bonnet?

I'm going to take the car back to the garage on Saturday and ask them to fix it, in the meantime, is there a means that I can lock the car without arming the alarm system? We live in a quiet little village, and want to show some consideration for my neighbours

Many thanks! Looking forward to be a contributor on here

I get that whistle too. Dealer said it was the bonnet switch. They adjusted something...fixed it.... few days later it came back. Does it intermittantly now...but its such a high frequency I dont hear it often
