It doesn't whirr at all! There's nothing.
It worked fine lastnight at the end of my street as I came home then first thing this morning after first attempt to use it.............nothing.
I checked the washer level in the bottle and it had plenty in it. Well almost full to the 1ltr mark roughly I can get it to just now due to the crack.
In this case, look for:
(1) wires that have come adrift,
(2) fuses that may have blown
(3) physical obstruction (such as iced impellor)
To check if there is current going to the motor, see if your lights dim slightly when you switch on the pump. If they don't (and this would be very slight) there is no power getting through so it would be cable or fuse. If it dims your lights but does not whirr, don't keep trying because you will break the thread that engages the impellor and you will need a new pump if that happens. I think the expensive item will be the bottle (even though it is only plastic).
