Clio Electrical Night Mare
Is there anyone out there who can help ? My daughter bought a clio 16v 1.2 approx 3 months ago and it has been sat in a main dealers in Leeds for 6 weeks . They have been trying to diagnose a fault which brings on the electric fault orange light on the dash & puts the engine in limp home mode. Their diagnostic equipment fails to pinpoint the fault and they have to revert to 25 year old technology by guessing at parts that may cause this problem. So here we go after 37 phone calls and 162 mins of on hold time and zero cmmunication skills offered I finally recieve a call back to say its either the
or the wiring harness (this covers all eventualities) .We will replace the
first sir we are 95% certain this will cure it ( if not it will be the wiring loom).
3 weeks after diagnosis I get a call to say the car is ready to collect,
did the trick it had been checked all clear of faults tested off all ok. After paying a hefty bill we set off only to get same problem 0.5 miles away. The garage then turned around and said told you so it was the wiring loom . Sorry we cant refit your old
its exchange sir, and when I got shirty out of shear frustration I was told to F##k off and get the car repaired else where. Nice customer service Renault are promoting, my 18 year old daughter was horrified and in tears over the whole affair. Is their any one out there who can recommend a good renault specialist other than in hull or leeds in the yorkshire region.
