I'd be tempted to stay in the lag fold too if I don't get too badly rogered by my 02 over the next couple years, then a tidy 05 or 06 should be a bargain

The info on the newer satnav looks much better though I find the old one works very well. Is the new one as good? Plus they refined the twiddly knob didn't they? Is that much better too?

First impressions of the 2006 over my 2003

Leather much much nicer

Sat Nav much much better - twiddly knob control is fantasic and no need to reach plus Voice Recognition works a treat for zooming in and out etc.

Bluetooth works great with my blackberry

16" wheels may not look as nice but give better ride

Keyless perimiter entry is just wonderful when carrying a 2 yr old!

ISOFIX has zips rather than stitching that needs cutting

Centre Console has a lot less gaps and breaks, looks a lot classier.

Lots of little touches to make the interior nice. Better plastics, chrome trims and soft touch opening centre console.

Electronic handbrake takes some getting used to as does not putting the card in the reader. Just press 'Stop' and get out and walk off - very strange, I keep expecting the car to roll off!!

Auto Lights work well - great for putting the car in the garage during the day.

2.2D engine much quieter when warm than 1.9D except at startup where it has a more of a classic diesel clatter

Warning display below milage display has improved resolution and graphics.

Low pressure graphic does not block the Sat Nav display (HOORAY!!)

Cup holder is gone (Boooooo!)

Adaptive Xenon lighting is great on the country roads - when on main beam the Xenons lift to they maximum auto height adjustment to give a wider field of vision and lower to normal height quickly as soon as mainbeam on turned off

Half wood steering wheel is just plain weird to hold

Odd thing is I have no idea what I an going to replace it in 2yrs time with - note the very latest Laguna Initiale does not have the 3D Sat Nav, Sunroof or Tyre Pressure Sensors

Got to say considering the price I paid for it (17000 miles, 8450) I shake my head in disbelief at why people are buying other stuff. My 2003 Laguna I had for 2 and half years and nothing, not even a bulb went wrong with it
