My Laguna Sports Tourer is Juddering

I am having a problem with what feeels like the car losing immediate power and juddering, it is definately worse when we go over a bump or up a hill?????

I have a 1.9DCi manual 2001

Had a similar problem with my wife's Skoda Octavia, turned out to be the MAF sensor, usually happened when the acceleration was quite quick, and the engine revs went over 3500RPM, turning the ignition off and back on again resolved the situation, also cleaning the MAF with carb cleaner worked 3 or 4 times, then had to replace it.
Check the wiring connections, as something could be loose and when you hit a bump it may knock it loose.
