Rear Indicator Bulb

Have just put my Laguna (55) in for a service and they have told me that the rear indicator bulb is faulty and needs replacing - for 23! This seems very high for a bulb. I have found a bulb for 1.50 PY21W 581 (Amber) Indicator Bulbs :: Standard 12V Replacement Halogen Bulbs :: Autobulbs Direct Ltd - Xenon bulbs, car bulbs, wiper blades, headlight, Osram, Ring, Philips

Is there anything special to changing the rear bulbs on a Laguna? (I know the bumpber needs removing for the front bulbs which might make it more expensive)

Yes that is a bit on the pricey side.

Not being familiar wth languna's I can't say how difficult the job is or not. Is it just that the dealer want's to slap on a quater/half an hours labour, then the VAT to get yp to 23?

Hi Frost - if you look inside the boot on either side you should find a thumb nut - just undo and out pops the light unit - I can buy yellow bulbs for 75p each from my local motor factors if I buy a box of 10 - so for waht your are being charged you could buy 30 of the darned things - I suggest you change your garage

As Noel said, just unscrew the nut in the boot and hey presto Hardly worth 23!!

Changing the front bulbs is possible without removing the bumper! To do the indicator bulbs, you'll need to gain access through the front arch liner and for the headlight bulbs you can get to the back of the lights through the engine bay (you'll need small hands though )
