Angry Horn not working ... there more !

Alright Folks,

Looking for some help, my horn isn't working on a 53 plate clio dynamic, tried the usual stuff, replace fuse although it wasn't blown ! Had front wheel off and checked horn, wires are all okay.

Horn works with a Jump lead from battery to horn. (not connect just touching !)

So removed air bag module from steering column,

cant get steering wheel off as haven't got big enough torx
screwdriver BUT.......

There is a loose red wire, looks to have snapped off in the steering column.

2 wires (red n black) look to come up column and connect into a multiplug which then goes to white n black wires which sit around the horn contacts in the steering wheel.

Anyone have any ideas where these red n black wires go, is it a big job and will it cost me a pile of cash as everything Renault does !!

Help would be appreciated.

Your braver than me removing air bags! Hope the battery was off and you let the system lie for a while to get ALL the power out! Remember it is an explosive device and should be treated with much respect!

If you have found a broken wire, Fix it then see where you are!

Did you take the wires off the horn and clean them and the contacts, thats the usual cause of horn faults?

A problem well stated is a problem half solved !
