I work for a main dealer and Believe me, we do around 1 of these repairs a day! The original wiring cannot take the load of the fan, which originally was put down to a new connector and
heater rheostat, these didn't work either so Renault modified the connector to make up for the extra load on the wiring. the method above with the glovebox sounds easiest to do yourself, may even try it! Lol. Although I've done so many I can
get the whole dash in and out within about 45mins now! lol.

And as for your rear wiper it is a fault inside your UCH . This is not a cheap repair though, if it was mine out of warranty, I would just live with it. UCH 's are about £300 !

The new loom I saw that Renault now supplies splices into the old loom and so gives you a new connector with revised wiring that shares the current between 2 pins to spread the load, whereas old connector presumably used one pin for same load. Actually not sure the connector is actually any different, itís the paralleling of 2 pins that improves it. I am guessing a bit as repaired mine without actually seeing the failed parts. (See http://www.renaultforums.co.uk/showt...095#post341095 ) Are you saying that this revised loom is not good enough?

Surely the remove glove box method is not going to enable one to splice in the new loom as need lots of space to do this.
