Roby is right. Take the radio out through the front, should be able to do this by inserting small drill bits into the hold an the left & right on the radia front panel (thats what I do). Slide the radia out and as you look at it, on the right hand side(back) you will find two block connectors. The top one is usually the one for the multi changer.

Thsi will pull out once you have released the clips on the left and right of the conntector.

This can then be pushed down so it can be seen from the passanger foot well.

The cable runs behind the platic trim on the right of the passenger foot well, to the back of the front passenger seat. There is a platic plug the cable goes through into the underseat tray that holds the cd changer.

Out of interest how many pins to you have in the plug socket from the back of the cd changer as I may be interested

Thanks for your help. We did eventually manage to do it - thankfully! Though we had a heck of a job getting the connector off the back of the radio!!

The cable that plugs into the CD multichanger is round with 13 pins. The end that plugs into the radio is oblong and there seems to be 5 metal connectors along one side and 4 opposite. We gouged the plastic a little trying to get it out and broke a little hook off one side (it's there to help remove the plug but just snapped off when we tried!) but apart from that it's fine.
