I never blinded any other driver and never got flashed by any other driver because unlike many drivers mine were adjusted properly.

A problem well stated is a problem half solved !
Currently in davesss's garage:

Maybe the reason you weren't flashed back is because they didn't want to blind you!. If people cant see properly with standard bulbs which are more than adequate then maybe the problem isn't the amount of light given off but the eyes of the people using them.

Next time you go out make a note of the number of people using these bulbs and similar types and I think you will find they are the same people who drive around with their front fog lights constantly switched on even in the height of summer. I susspect this is not about light! but about saying "look at me"!

Good point Carl - I agree - inconsiderate drivers are a real pain in the a**e. Some drivers drive around with unecessary lights blasting away - you think they invented the darn things when all they done was either bought something that someone else made or just turned a switch on - no brains or effort required
