found out what was wrong anyway...

posted a while back about the rear doors of my Laguna 2 not wanting to unlock...

took it to a "Renault Specialist" who gave it a good going over along with an auto electrician and they still ended up without an answer...

door trim removed and a live direct to the solenoid and it worked, door opened but as soon as it was locked again it would stay locked

plan there was to fit a switch on the dash to trigger the doors when I got in, not ideal but a cheap option to get the doors opening

I then went to another auto electrical outlet nearby and within an hour was told the UCH was at fault and needed replacing OR they could wire the front doors to the back which would work but may not last forever..

I bought a warranty off the internet when I bought the car and the guys at the a/e place gave them a call...

UCH covered, 1 hours labour covered and reprogramming keys covered, all I had to pay was an hours diagnostics...

heard I'd be paying 60 and after that was a blur, heard a 330 for this and another 60 for that but there may have been more!!

all from a 155 12 month warranty...well chuffed

all parts ordered and awaiting call to drop the car back in, should be Mon/Tues next week....

Glad you are getting it sorted RD.

Quite an expensive repair if no warranty.

Keep us updated on how the repair goes

Warranty sounds like a good idea, where did it come from, may have to get one for when mine packs up.
