I know exactly what to do now. Thank you soooooooooo much.

In fact, I've just gone outside to 'start fitting one', and now all lifes problems are over!
F'ing genius!

Hi Gabriel - only to glad to help - let us know how you get on - surely if you could fit a complete central locking system with all those door lock and boot lock solenoids by yourself - why not have a go at fitting the alarm system. Or did you mean "remote" central locking.

I'm buying a Toad Ai606 alarm and want the installer to make it so that I can open / close all doors with the Toad remote.

What do I need to buy & install before ordering the alarm / fitting? I have a mk1.2 Clio, if that makes any difference.
I think we'll start again.

If your car hasn't got central locking, then there is an awful lot of work involved in fitting remote central locking. Not only do you have to run wires to impactors in the doors and boot, you need a control unit too.....then you need the alarm wired into this.Ideally you'd need a donor Clio with central locking fitted already and take the system out of it and put it in yours.Either that or I am sure there are aftermarket systems available but they would even more work to get to fit and work properly.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
