Cool window regulator

Hi guys & gals,
Having hassle with drivers electric window. Cable snapped. I can get one off e-bay, but do I have to take the whole framework out? If I do, how can it be done? Laguna otherwise ACE!

you should just be able to take the door trim off and slide everything out the bottom, after its been unscrewed of course

Some tips:
Gaffer tape the window in place while the mechanism is removed
There is a retaining clip at the back of the peg the window sits on that you need to remove before the window can be removed from the mechanism
If fitting a new tensioned regulator NEVER let release the tension by for instance letting the main wheel move. Here's why:

There are good instructions on the forum for removing the door card. Its easy when you know how - I can do one in five minutes now You should grease the windows regulator whenever they make a noise as otherwise the cable will corode and snap ...
