Laguna - CD Player Error

Good morning all
I am a recent member to this site and looks like the problems you have been having are not dissimilar to my own.
I have one particluar problem which is the CD player is malfunctioning intermittantly.
If we go over a bump around an 1hour into the journey the CD player starts to skip then reads CD ERR and wll cease to play.
On ejecting the CD the CD is quite hot. I appreciate some heat is produced but this seems a little excessive.
Any ideas?

Hi MarcLaguna, Welcome to the forum. I had exactley the same problem with mine. It was still under warrenty so I went back to my Renault Stealer hoping that they would exchange the radio. They would not exchange it , the only option was for them to take the radio out, post it to their repair agent , who would look at it and attempt a repair, if it was not repairable then they would then exchange the radio, they said that this could take 10 to 14 days. This was not acceptable as I receive my service calls over the phone and without a radio my handsfree kit would not operate . I explained this to my Renault Stealer, the same Stealer that I have bought my last 3 new cars from, but he would not co-operate. I did try a cleaning disc as a last resort but no luck. My be worth trying an independant car radio supplier/repairer.
