What do the switches do?

I've just purchased a Mk1 Megane convertible and pick it up on Friday. I went to see it today and noticed that on the RHS of the steering wheel, near the headlight adjuster switch there is another swith with a cross on it(X). Not wanting to sound stupid I didn't ask what it was!! Now i feel stupid because the manual for my other Magane doesn't cover it. Could it be heated seats?
The only stupid question is the one you don't ask!!
So I'm asking it

Thanks in advance

That's the switch for the ejector seat. Don't press it with the top up

pretty sure the button with a cross is for the control of the rear window switches. if pressed then the rear electric windows cant be used via the rear switches. not 100% sure but you could try it and see if this is true

Hi Pete - don't be afraid to ask the seller - never know your luck. Failing that you can download a pdf version of the drivers handbook from the Renault UK website.
