Parasitic Current Drain - Dead Battery
Hi All, first post please go easy.
I have a 2002 laguna 1.9DCI Estate. The car has a very hard to locate intermittent parasitic current drain which flattens the battery in 2 days.
I've done all the checks, tried a few batteries and the alternator checks out. The fault is definitely with the car. I've checked the current drain which is an acceptable 30mA.
I'd about given up until I spotted a couple of posts on here yesterday regarding the handsfree door sensors.
I park the car in the garage each night unlocked.
Does anyone know if these sensors can still drain the battery when unlocked?
I don't have the key card needed for the handsfree and have never used it. Therefore, does anyone know if I can disconnect the supply to the sensors?
Does anyone know how many sensors there are? It could be significant if there is one per door as the front passenger door fills up with water!!
Any help or advice very welcome.
Hope this makes sense,
