Wiring under seat?-Laguna Rti

Guys, been trying to sort out why my demist doesnt work on my mirrors and for some reason looked under front seats tracing wires, came across under both front seats a big bundle of wiring and a white junction type box,any clues as to what it is? have I got heated seats ? I dont think so as there is no switch for them and the seats are not electric in any way... .ummm.(box is attached to seats) Also its a March 99 Laguna Rti 2.0 is it a 1 or a 2?
Just brought this car as been with the blue oval for some time, man the electrics are a sight for sore eyes!!

The RTi was a Laguna I model. 1999 would be a fairly late example (with the round front fog lights, clear, rather than smoked tail lights and plastic headlamp covers.)

The most obvious tell-tale (assuming that you don't know which one is which) is whether you have a key or a card. All of the Laguna I models used a normal ignition key. All of the Laguna II models have the Renault card, which either slots into the dash above the ashtray, or on the latest models can stay sat in your pocket.

It'll be a Mk1 Phase 2 same as mine (mines a June 2000). Seems the Mk1 had had two versions, the later one, what some makers call a facelift version is what they call a Phase 2. Just some styling mods probably, I actually prefer the rectangular fog lights of the earlier one.

Chances are the wiring under the seats (I've never looked) is for seat belt pre-tensioners. Sort of an explosive charge that goes off in an accident to tighten your seat belts. You'll see a cylindrical thing about 6 inches long bolted under the seat somewhere, thats the pre-tensioner.

Hi mate, the BOMB under your seat is infact the ejector seat module.....

as far as i am aware it is a presure sensor for the imobiliser, if you turn off the engine and ether of the front doors and get out the IMOBO. cuts in. but if you dont get out of your seat you can start it.
i got mine trapped in the rails and split the cable. now i need to BLIP it everytime.
