Hi - re your alarm. My paperwork also says I have a Renault compact 7887 installed by Renault themselves, The alarm manual says that to turn off the internal sensors you should - with the drivers door open, insert and remove the key card twice (i.e.insert, remove, insert, remove) within 10 seconds. Then get out, close the door and press the lock button twice. The car should flash and beep three times. The sensors are then deactivated until next started up.
BUT the garage has since told me that the correct procedure is to insert and remove card 5 times, not 3. Suggest you try both methods whilst you (not the dog!) are in it. ..
Incidently, my car has been in the Renault garage 5 days trying to locate an intermittent alarm fault - keeps going off for no reason. The neighbours are not impressed. The garage has re sited some wires and I hope this works..going to collect it tomorrow morning - fingers crossed!
