Hi Andy,

I think it is a great piece of kit.

More so when you drive a car that does not have one fitted then you realise how good a piece of kit it is.

The auto dimming mirror gets it right most of the time, but it doesn't dim unless it's already pretty dark outside. I've had a few occasions where, in daylight, someone's been tailing me with either inadvertent main beams on or they've had really badly aligned headlights. I've ended up manually dipping the mirror, which of course you can't do without losing its position because you no longer have the manual lever.

A colleague's Avensis has an auto mirror that also has a button to manually darken it in exactly this scenario. That would have been a handy feature on the Lag's mirror.

I assume this means a rear view mirror that dims so the cars lights behind you doesn't "blind" you?

All the cars I've had have had the manual facility to do this.; it is something that I have never used and probably never will - and an automatic one seems a bit overkill and gadgety to me. Something else to break

Fair do's if it works for you though!
