broken airbag lead

I have a '54 Clio that I've just changed the steering wheel on ( the leather was a mess!)

On removing the airbag one off the leads got damaged, I repaired it quite well,.... or so i thought! but now my 'service' light and 'airbag' light are both stuck on!!!

I'm thinking that i can get a new lead from the scrappy, but am unsure if im going to need an ecu reset or something as well? . Does anyone know ? ***9642; ***9642; ***9642;

I don't know if this is the same for Renault or not, hopefully someone will be able to confirm or deny it!

When I fitted a car kit to a friends new Passat, I removed the facia around the head unit and disconnected the 'passenger airbag off' light. When I put it back together, the airbag fault light was on all the time.

Turns out that the VW system monitors all of the airbag system and had noticed that I had disconnected and reconnected the bulb. This unfortunately meant that the fault light had to be reset by a VW stealer
Currently in martin999's garage:
2011 (11) VW Passat 2.0 TDi SE + options in Island Grey, 2011 (11) Honda CB1000R in Pearl Cool White... oh and a 2004 (54) Secnic II 1.5dCi Dynamique in Ottoman Blue !
