Got a scenic 1.9 desel 04 plate the dashboard has been playing up flashing etc then going completely blank so I thought I would disconnect the battery then reconnect to try and reset it..it has made it worse after a lot of flashing clicking and bleeping the dashboard is now blank the windscreen wipers are on permanently although they are turned off and the engine won't turn off I have to stall it to stop it ...I did phone Renault about the dashboard but because it is older than 10 years it doesn't Qualify for there discount for a recognised fault. ...is this just the dashboard or is it the computer as well ...would it be expensive to repair... the rest of the car is in good condition. ..or would it be advisable just to get rid

dashboards are a very known fault with them. they are encoded to vehicle renaults charge to do this job but tend not to be up for secondhand parts.. cheapest option is find secondhand dash and send it to a dashboard repairs company on the internet. i use this guy hes cheapest and first class for anything like this, he can also reset mileage to yours correct mileage, he's called dale 07807222262. he will prob just get you to send him both dash boards and clone the old one. at a guess would be around £80-£150 he really is good at his job
