I used the front fogs on the Megane in the fog (surprisingly enough) and didn't find it made much difference really to a dipped beam, with the beam adjusted down. They seemed to light up thwe road in front of the car immediately ahead and that was it. Perhaps it is just me.

I will readily admit that when I first got that car, and I thought "ooh I have front fog lights" I did use them unneccesarlily. Then someone pointed out what a t**t I was being so stopped. Sorry! But yes when switched off they do make a front bumper look better for some reason

Yes they do make the front look good Iwas thinking of fitting some to supplyment my lights as I find driving against these new headlights very unpleasant and on main roads I can not tell if mine are on but never bothered as I prefere spots even in fog and it is illeagle to use them except in fog knowing my luck I would get stopped first time putting them on.

My Ducato has 2 extra driving lights, and 2 lights which are a combined driving light & fog light in each.

On the unlit country road around me (obviously without oncoming traffic), these combined with the standard lights are just like daylight!

Brilliant in every sense.

I haven't looked at the Meg's headlight arrangement, but, on my old Rover 200 Cabby it was a seperate lamp for dipped and full. I contemplated putting a set of Rally lamps in to replace the full beam, that would really brighten the motorways up, lol.
